D&D IT Orkney Ltd was formed in 2011 by David Johnson and Dave Clapham formerly of Orkney IT Support and DC IT Services Orkney Ltd respectively. The decision to join forces was a simple one. Individually we could not provide the guarantees we wanted to for our clients. The old saying “two heads are better than one” and our mutual desire to provide the best possible service meant that this was our only choice.
David Johnson has eleven years experience within the IT industry. He is originally from the Shetland Isles and has worked in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen with small to multi-national businesses. David moved to Orkney and ran his own successful IT Business before joining forces with Dave Clapham. David has numerous IT qualifications, including a Diploma in Information Technology, HND in Computer and Electronic Systems, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), VMware vSphere Fast Track Program, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) in Windows Server 2003, Citrix Server Administration and many more.
Dave Clapham has thirteen years experience within the IT industry. He is originally from Stafford in the Midlands and worked for a Midland based company all over the country with industrial control computer systems. His IT Knowledge and skills straddle the management, accounts and technical roles and enables him to take a rounded perspective on the requirements of clients. Dave worked for another local IT company in Orkney for six years which has laid the groundwork that enables him to particularly tailor business to suit his client base within Orkney. He has run his own successful IT business prior to joining forces with David Johnson.
